Snyder Reading Week 2012

This year they wanted people, events, and landmarks out of American History!
I went from George Washington to George Washington Carver.
Paul Revere to Johnny Appleseed.
Betsy Ross to the Wright Brothers.
The Liberty Bell to the Statue of Liberty.

Easter Tennis 2012
It's almost Easter time again, and my customer needs
a new Easter tennis design
My first attempt.....
The girls thought it was cute but the boys didn't like it
My second design....
They liked it but didn't love it.
they wanted to see one more....
This one is a little out there,
with the Easter Island head mixed in and all.
But they thought it was the bomb.
It became the official design for 2012

Halloween Tennis Anyone?
Well, it's time for the ITA Great Pumpkin Tennis Tournament again
and here's the tee shirt design I submitted.
It's based on a 1930's children's magazine illustration
done by the great illustrator
I've added a tennis theme
to the vintage Halloween design
to fit the customer's needs.
to fit the customer's needs.

Easter Tennis 3rd and final attempt
My next attempt was a success.....
now back on white shirts and cleaner...
I was even allowed to include a bunny.
A personal victory in my head.
HAPPY EASTER TOO ALL!
Easter Tennis 2nd Try
My second attempt, now on black shirts.......
Deemed too busy and flowery.
Deemed too busy and flowery.
Now the customer has a better idea of what he wants.
Cleaner more airy....
Cleaner more airy....
Easter Tennis 1st Attempt

When Witches Go Riding
I just love Halloween and was inspired this year by a vintage postcard from 1917 with a great little Halloween poem...When witches go riding and black cats are seen,
The Moon laughs and whispers,
" 'Tis near Halloween."
I hope everyone has a happy and safe Halloween.
As you can see I recycled the great little moon I drew up earlier.
and created a a Halloween witch with her trusty black cat.
